Newsom started singing at the age of 3 and never received any formal vocal training. She was homeschooled, and her mother at a young age taught her breath support and stage presence. At a young age she was singing at fairs, competitions and Opry’s. C.J. Newsom starred in the award winning "John Denver Tribute" in Branson. On the 50th anniversary of Patsy passing, C.J. Newsom accomplished her lifelong dream of paying tribute to this great artist. Patsy Cline Branson lighting, staging and costumes at the Americana Theater for the show are outstanding.
