Branson welcomes guests into its vacation hills in southwest Missouri for decades, and recently golfing has become a premier attraction along with fishing and shows. The new Top of the Rock Golf Course, owned by Johnny Morris of the Bass Pro Shop, offers 1,330 yards of golfing. It’s located just 3 miles east of the Big Cedar Lodge resort. The 9 hole, par 3 with two sets of tees for a total of 18 holes provides experienced and novice golfers a relaxing day in the hills.
Top of the Rock Golf Course Branson MO kick off occurred around the hosting of a 2014 PGA Tournament. "This is one of those places you come and visit and don't want to leave," NASCAR driver Tony Stewart said during the PGA Champions Tour. Reviews stated it’s incredible and a beautiful view. This was the first PGA Tour sanctioned event on a par 3 golf course.
Besides forested fairways and spectacular Table Rock Lake scenic views, there are native plants, trees, songbirds, and critters that give it character. Golfers can progress their swing at the Arnold Palmer Practice Facility. It features sixteen target greens, recessed lighting and teeing decks, and a new Tom Watson putting green is under construction. There are several new editions and other plans in the future, but there’s nothing like golfing brand new greens.

Today it’s a 9 hole, par 3 course with two sets of tees allowing for 18 holes of golfing. The original Top of the Rock golf restaurant and site burned down several years ago. A while after it burnt, Johnny Morris with Bass Pro Shops created the current course and its nature based preserve. The Ozark landscape adds an exclusive twist to the Jack Nicklaus signature course with magnificent overlooks of Table Rock Lake. Reviews this year have already started to pour in stating it’s the best new golf course in Branson Missouri.
