Veterans Museum Branson
Visitors are awestruck and thoroughly humbled by this memorial. The immense Veterans Museum Branson MO display has exhibits that pay tribute to the men and women in our Armed Forces in the Navy, Army, Marines, and Air Force. Fred Hoppe started this landmark site after being inspired by the stories and sacrifices from his father in World War II’s bloodiest battles. His father is honored with a mural depicting his heroic rescue of a fellow wounded soldier. Fred worked 18 hour days seven days a week to build the Veterans Museum Branson MO location that historians, the state, and nation sites said would be impossible and impractical. It features weapons, uniforms, letters, medals, motorcycles, vehicles, and 100’s of original artifacts. Each hall features sculptures, murals, authentic memorabilia and historical items.
The most amazing thing is many of the exhibits have been compiled with the help of vets and their families for servicemen and women from World War I battlefronts to Vietnam jungles and modern Middle East conflicts. The hallmark of the museum is the stunning 70 foot bronze monument consisting of 50 life size soldiers running in battle. The feat has a combat soldier from every state in the union used to model for the life size figures. Fred Hoppe Sr. is the lead soldier model in the world's largest bronze sculpture war memorial. It’s one of the most appropriate and powerful attractions to see in Branson Missouri.
